Privacy Policy
Effective 28 May 2026
Wasteland publishes a weekly cyber + AI intelligence newsletter at wasteland.me. We collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe — the only personal information we ask for.
- Standard server logs (IP address and basic request metadata) processed by Cloudflare to serve and protect the site. We do not use this to identify or track you.
- No tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or advertising trackers. We do not set non-essential cookies.
Why we collect it
Solely to send you the Wasteland newsletter you signed up for. Our legal basis is your consent, given when you subscribe and confirm via the double opt-in email.
Who we share it with
No one. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Two service providers operate the service on our behalf: Resend (email delivery) and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). We share your information with no one else, except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe, then remove you from active sends.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe anytime — every email includes an unsubscribe link, which we honor promptly. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data. To exercise any of these, email [email protected].
Children
Wasteland is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new effective date.
